Suzhou Double-sided Silk Embroidery

Hand-Made Suzhou Double-Sided Silk Embroidery in Glass Frame with Wooden Swivel Stand (Pre-owned and in excellent condition). This artwork was purchased in China around 1988; and it has been on display in our home out of direct sunlight. The item measures 14 1/4 inches in height and 11 inches in width. It weighs 1 lb, 6 oz. Suzhou embroidery is created around the city of Suzhou, which is a city rich in silk. The embroidery is done artfully with great skill and care so that the same image is seen on either side of the embroidery. The seller has taken pictures of the embroidery at various angles by rotating the frame within the swivel stand. Some close-up pictures were taken of both sides to illustrate the intricate embroidery. The buyer might see some lines that are the reflection of the camera off the glass surface. The price is reduced to compensate for shipping cost.
