Cherry blossoms, foliage, and the little whimsical bird on the blooming branch in pastel colors are the focal point against the bright colored red silk fabric background. The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese, as well as Chinese culture, goes back hundreds of years. In these countries, the flower's short lived blooms represent the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful. The completed pillow is backed with lined, textured shade of pear green poly-cotton fabric with an inside casing filled with cotton batting.
